Clan of Falling Water

Deep within rocky hillsides blanketed by permanent autumn forests and sliced through with crystal clear streams and waterfalls lives a clan of cats. Where most clans might boast strength or bravery, this clan relies on quick wit, a clever mind, and knowledge passed down through generations and stars to not only survive, but thrive.

Territory

insp. Ozark Mountains

Fallsclan makes it home within a massive, rolling expanse of rocky forested hills dotted with ranches or farms anywhere that was suitable for the twolegs to settle. Their borders are close to the camp, but they hunt beyond as no other clans are nearby to worry about. Their den is above a waterfall cliff, just to one side of the stream that feeds the falls in an abandoned rabbit's warren under the gnarled roots of a tree. These tunnels are uncountable and like a maze, with numerous exits and entrances and double that of dead-end dens. The rest of the territory is fairly nondescript, though the clan discovers new points of interest on almost every outing; one of which being the Sky Stone - their connection to Starclan. Cats climb as far up the stone as physically possible during sunset, and the light of the moon illuminates the stone once it rises, connecting the cat to Starclan once their fur is full of moonlight.

The stream is calm for most of the year, though during the wet season it swells into a river and is dangerous to fish in or traverse. It leads down the hill into a pond at the edge of a twoleg farm, where three barn cats live. This farm also has chickens, ducks, turkeys, and miniature dairy goats, as well as an old hound dog. Further beyond, is another farm with larger livestock and a much younger and more aggressive dog, and past that is a small twoleg town. All of this is connected by a thin, winding thunderpath that the cats are forbidden from even going near - not that there would be any reason to.

Prey

The cats of Fallsclan have a fairly varied diet thanks to their location, with the most common prey being fish. They're also known to stock their fresh-kill pile with baby miniature goats, chicks and chickens, young turkeys and ducks, and domesticated rabbits from the near-by farms and ranches. Otherwise, they hunt the normal forest prey. Full list below:

Predator

Alongside the clan's easy access to food is their direct contact with danger. Twolegs and domesticated dogs patrol farms and ranches, as well as the small twoleg village. Some even venture into the woods with their dogs, though these are usually restrained with leashes. The forest itself provides ample predators, and there are even some creatures which are classified as neutral threats - big enough to overpower a single cat and be deadly, but small enough to become food for a patrol or hunting party.
